Subject: [MDBirding] Golden Eagle at Cromwell Valley HawkWatch

A Golden Eagle was seen Monday, October 22nd at the Cromwell Valley Park HawkWatch in Baltimore County. The bird was an immature eagle showing the distinctive white patches on the tail and wings and was recorded at 2:38 PM. Close to 200 migrant raptors were recorded, an impressive number considering the painfully clear sky our observers had to work with. Diligent scanning paid off as many of the hawks were high and difficult to spot, and many thanks go out to our observers!! I will try to post an accurate report on Tuesday night.
