Subject: [MDBirding] Odd American Robin

While out for a walk this morning in Ballston section of Arlington, VA where
my daughter resides, I observed a group of American Robins on a residential
lawn. The upperside of one of the birds was much paler than the others and
it had a prominent white wing patch on each side. It certainly stood out
from the rest. Is this plumage indicative of a subspecies? I don't have
any of my US field guides with me to consult.
