I was at New Germany State Park on Sunday for about an hour and a half. I
heard what I thought was a White-winged Crossbill before I got out of the
car at parking lot 5 (near the lake). Soon after that while walking around
that lot, I heard an Evening Grosbeak fly over. Then I walked around the
lake a bit and as I was getting ready to leave I heard (more clearly this
time) a White-winged Crossbill calling from near the nature center (the
building near the dam). I never did actually see either one of them.
