Around noon today I saw 3 White-winged Crossbills (male and 2 females) at Font Hill Park. They were in the hemlock trees that are across the bridge near the park entrance on Font Hill Drive. I had good looks at them, both in the trees and then as they flew to the stream. A short time later they flew off to the north, calling. There were also goldfinches and House Finches in the hemlocks.
Also in this section of the park were a Belted Kingfisher, Hermit Thrush, both kinglets, Winter Wren, and Swamp Sparrows. I observed Pine Siskins along Walker Drive which is a left turn off Frederick Road a short ways east of Font Hill Drive.
