Subject: [MDBirding] Oxbow Lake - Peregrin Falcon

Jay Sheppard started out at Big Pool Bluff with a Peregrine Falcon sitting on the Egret Tree. It stayed there long enough for Jay to give me a call, and for me to take a brunch break to go see it. Close to 1/2 hour sitting on the Egret Tree. It was preening, changed positions, and gave us great looks. We hiked to the SE Observation Point and around the bend to take a look at the south/west parts of the lake. Jay identified an Eastern Gartersnake that I found on Saturday (it had probably been run over on Oxbow Place). It was the first gartersnake that Jay had seen at the Oxbow. Did not expect to see a snake in December.
