Looks like a female Tufted Duck at Kent Id. No indication of hybrid that we could see. Distinct tuft, distinctly smaller size than Gr Scaup, thinner, smaller bill with sharper pale subterminal mark against blue than Greater. Smaller headed than Greater, solid chocolate brown head with no white around bill. Blackish back curves lower down over brown flanks. With 60 scaups and a few Redhead. At least two brown headed Greaters with no white around bill, but they are obviously larger headed with high forehead. We got no photos. In the cove just east of the Holiday inn express, north side of rt50.
