This morning I took Remy out in the backyard and heard a call from the trees that I am 99% certain was a Redpoll. I could not find the bird in the fog and rain. I ran inside and listened to the call notes to confirm, grabbed my camera and bins and went back out. An accipter had scattered all the birds and an afternoon of watching and listening never re-located the bird. I mentioned the �sighting� to a co-worker tonight and she told me she had two on her feeders in Columbia this last week. She had a picture of them on her cell phone! Hopefully this will be the start of a Redpoll invasion!
