Hi All,
For anyone thinking about doing a Big Year in our area (MD or DC) 2013 is the year to do it!� I had a blast with my Big DC Year in 2011, but there were virtually no winter finches about.�� Obviously this year is different, and anyone willing to do a Big Year will be rewarded with these bonus irruptive species.� I started my Big Year towards the end of the month and only seemed to miss out on one "gettable" winter Gull species (Glaucus), so there's still time to go for it!� And don't think you have to break any records - just making a conscious effort and sharing it here is fun for everyone.
