Hi Everyone,
I stopped to listen to the pre-dawn chorus at Weinberg Park near my home in Anne Arundel Co. this a.m. I was pleasantly surprised when an AMERICAN WOODCOCK flew by, slowly, twittering, silhouetted against the morning twilight. The dawn chorus included calling BROWN THRASHER, Hermit Thrush, and Winter Wren.
I stopped on my way to work (give or take 20 minutes... ) to see the continuing SUMMER TANAGER on Sebring Drive in Columbia. (Awesome January bird!) It appeared within minutes of my arrival at 7:35 a.m. See previous posts or the eBird RBA for directions.
Good birding!
Bill
