Hi all! I've recently decided to give up eating during my lunch break (1-2PM) and spend the hour on campus (I work at GBMC) checking out the birds. If I spot any rare birds, I will post them. So far this week it has been uneventful for the most part. I did see a Blue Jay chase a small group of Dark Eyed Juncos on Monday. One of the juncos landed in a bush within 10 feet of me and remained totally motionless for at least 5 minutes. I assume he was scared and hiding. Also spotted were 4 crows that I watched closely for 20 minutes. I assume it may have been a family and it looked as though they were "rehearsing" with repeated flight patterns or perhaps training their young. Anyway, I will post my findings here as I see them.
