First, look at eBird data. The pins clearly mark where the crane has been seen recently. The best bet is to start at Deep Landing Road and the house on the NE corner of New Enterprise Court. If it's not there, park in the court and walk across the street and check the field. If not there, go back to Hunting Creek Road, turn right then lookbetween Deep Landing Road and Wayne Gibson Road in the field and in private yards.

According to a neighbor, who was the one who said its name is Oscar, the bird has been around since August. The first confirmed sighting, with a photo is from nearby on Lowery Road:

Jeff and Joe's report is from this location:

Dan Haas had it near Wayne Gibson:

Joe,
I live in the Baltimore area and may take a drive down on Saturday to check out this crane. I'll use my GPS to locate this area. Any specific information that you could provide would be great. I believe this is the one that's been hanging around for awhile?

Thanks!
