I was lucky to have a small flock of 8 White-winged Crossbills land in a hemlock next to my building in Cleveland Park near Tregaron Conservancy Sat morning. They fed for several minutes on the small cones. I got good looks at the red males and yellow females. I never dreamed I'd finally see crossbills by birding from my window!
