We went looking for the Western Grebes this morning at Lake Anna State Park.� Because of previous posts we went straight to the boat launch area and were surprised to find them relatively close to the shore. However, almost immediately they were� spooked by a boater and flew out of sight to the other side of the lake.
More than half an hour later we were able to relocate them near the shore on the far side of the lake to the west. They were very active and we were able to watch them for quite a while through our scope. Thanks, Bob and Dave for posting where they were last seen! Also present on the lake were 2 Common Loons and 5 Horned Grebes.
