Subject: [MDBirding] C&O Canal Count miles 25 and 26

My team of three got a RED-HEADED WOODPECKER in mile 25, a new species after 8 years of counting these miles. Also new was seven RUSTY BLACKBIRDS also in mile 25.

These miles are adjacent to McKee-Beshers WMA so ducks and geese on the Potomac were scare. Hunters blinds were set up on the Potomac shore. Doesn't the C&O national historic park include the Potomac shore? So hunting is allowed in the park?
