Subject: [MDBirding] Red-necked Grebe, Hains Pt, DC

About 20 minutes ago I watched a sleeping RED-NECKED GREBE in the Potomac
about 500m south of the RR bridge at Hain's Point in D.C.. It was toward
the middle in a flock of feeding Lesser Scaup. The only other highlight
were 2 BONAPARTE'S GULLS flying south along the Anacostia. Boy what a
different a day makes. The Canada Goose number today was under 100 as
compared to the 1500+ that wintered in the area. My apologies for not
posting form the field, but my phone stopped working.
