A drake Long-tailed Duck was in the east end of the Georgetown Reservoir this morning with two Horned Grebes. The Long-tailed was displaying to no one (wagging its tail back and forth, spreading wings, etc.).
I also stopped briefly along the Potomac in a couple places. Did not see much of note, except 16 total Horned Grebes (raft of 10 just south of railroad bridge on the Potomac), a flock of Tree Swallows headed south, 3 Buffleheads on the river, and Lesser Scaup on the Tidal Basin. Hain's point was closed off to vehicles (a 5K?).
