Subject: [MDBirding] Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens, DC


Five of use birded the Kenilworth area today arriving at dawn and had much
success. We quickly found the two continuing EASTERN MEADOWLARKS in the
first grassy field on right as you enter. Also seen in this area were at
least three Savannah Sparrows and two flyover American Pipits. Further
along in both the short and tall grass were three WILSON'S SNIPE. A search
for the American Tree Sparrows was fruitless, although I got a glimpse of a
bird that I believe was this species. A few Tree Swallows flew overheard.

At the Aquatic Gardens, there were at least 6 singing Fox Sparrowsa and 4
RUSTY BLACKBIRDS at the last bench on the right before the boardwalk. Two
