A friend sent me the attached photo of the Blue Jay stuck in her small bird
feeder. She said she came home from work and glanced at the
feeder and something did not look right. She said the top was off the
feeder and somehow the Jay had gotten in and was very stuck. She did manage
to get it out with no harm to the bird or feeder.
I have had small birds get their head stuck in the ports on tube feeders but
never a whole bird.
