Good question. Let me attempt to clarify :)

Here is a map of the facility: http://www.billhubick.com/docs/swan_creek_map.jpg

The entrance road (Kembo) runs east-west, passing over the rr and eventually dropping you off at the trailers (bc) on the north, with uw on the south.

The road highlighted in green (the one you walk down to access the wetlands) runs north-south, cutting through the uw on the northern half, and the wetlands (ww on the west, mw on the east) on the southern half. The beach runs parallel to the mw, and I count any birds on the beach or the reef ball structures as mw.

The road called "wr" is not on this map. It is behind a locked gate at the southern edge of the property. I've only been on it twice, both times for official surveys.

Hope this helps. Looking forward to seeing more birders soon. All we need are the birds to start showing up.
