Subject: [MDBirding] Re: Swan Creek Wetland Codes

At the suggestion of others, I wanted to make one more post (sorry) about access.

Visitors are welcome here from 7:00-3:30 on weekdays. We lock the gate at 3:30 so you should probably be in your car and ready to go by 3:20/3:25. If you're a first-timer, please sign in and ask one of us for a safety briefing and a release form. If you've been here, you just need to sign in.

You can scan both cells from the flagpole next to the trailers. Please don't walk around the cells. We are an active construction site, and machinery is usually in motion in this area. You can also walk the entire stretch of road from the trailers to the beach (this passes through the upland woods and the entire wetland). Please don't walk the entire beach, but feel free to scan the beach/river from where the road ends at the beach. Please stay on the road the entire time and don't walk into the wetlands/woods.

The locations listed as wr, rr, and rp are not accessible to the public.

Bill's map, which I posted earlier in this thread, has a very clear breakdown of overall site accessibility.
