the day started off beautifully with raptors delighting in the spring weather but turned to showers near Pennyfield and raptors apparently landed except the two Bald Eagles on Conn Island (Great Falls Pk). The big surprise were the 3 Ravens!

Ravens were first two being harassed by crows size difference and call both apparent. One was missing tail feathers so wedge shape only really visible on one Second sighting single bird flying over the Potomac at Great Falls also calling 14 Canada Goose 4 Wood Duck 5 Mallard 27 Green-winged Teal 4 Common Merganser 10 Horned Grebe 7 Double-crested Cormorant 8 Great Blue Heron 2 Black Vulture 4 Turkey Vulture 4 Bald Eagle 3 Red-shouldered Hawk 1 Red-tailed Hawk 2 Belted Kingfisher 2 Red-bellied Woodpecker 2 Downy Woodpecker 3 Pileated Woodpecker 3 Eastern Phoebe 5 American Crow 3 Fish Crow 3 Common Raven 20 Carolina Chickadee 5 Tufted Titmouse 1 White-breasted Nuthatch 6 Carolina Wren 1 Golden-crowned Kinglet 2 Eastern Bluebird 4 Yellow-rumped Warbler 1 Palm Warbler (Yellow) 3 Song Sparrow 3 Northern Cardinal
