Mostly sunny to partly cloudy; 41-47 degrees; excellent visibility; except for the first hour, winds brisk mostly from the WNW, 12-18 mph, gusting to 26 mph

Raptor Observations:
An awesome 1000+ day with every hour busy with migrants; good diversity with 10 species; special thanks to all who counted today; at least 4 Bald Eagles but none flying north; the pair of Ospreys that nested for the first time last year on the far side of the Park has returned.

Non-raptor Observations:
33 Bonaparte's Gulls; 5 Purple Martins

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are
from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
