This morning, 4/8, Louisiana Waterthrush were calling along the stream passing under Tarbutton Mill Road in Talbot County and also back in the middle of Seth Demonstration Forest near the landfill.
The Urban Birding results from yesterday included several highlights: Rough-winged Swallows behind the TARGET department Store in Waterside Village, Palm Warblers and both yellowlegs beside that same Target store, along with several Wilson's Snipe. Beside the north side of the Parking Lot a lone Cattle Egret dropped in to become a FOS bird for all 22 of the birdwalk participants. ( Killdeer seem intent on nesting on some narrow strips of white stone within the Target Parking lot.) Several Purple Martin and Tree and Barn Swallows were seen in that same area during the morning. A short drive to the north onto Mistletoe Drive led to a single Rusty Blackbird providing great views while perched alone in a 30-foot high tree.
