Hi all,
This afternoon I stepped out of my shop, bins ready and sunglasses on, as the winds had changed and skies were clearing. The earlier foggy/fuzziness of the day was fast disappearing on SW winds, so I started looking for flyovers. Was not disappointed! In the 45 minutes from 3:45 until 4:30, the following flew by/over:
Sharp-shinned Hawks 14, Northern Harriers 2 (my FOS here), Osprey 1 (FOS here), American Kestrel 1, Broad-winged Hawks 7, Double-crested Cormorants 9, Red-shouldered Hawk 1, Swallow sp. 4 (high in poor light), Gull sp. 34 (initially when I saw them they were kettling like BW Hawks, so putting my bins on them, that is what I was expecting. Cool to watch gulls form a large kettle before moving off en masse to the NE, very high up), hawk sp. 4 (all at odd angles, or in bad light moving away from me), plus assorted Black and Turkey Vultures.

The show continues...
