A belated note on incidental sightings in wooded area immediately to the right(NE) after crossing the Dulaney Valley Rd(Rte 146) bridge, headed north. I was on a search for any early morel 'shrooms in the early afternoon.
I saw both tail-bobbers, the Palm and Myrtle Warblers. I heard the MD Yellowthroat and Pine Warblers. On a return circuit to the car via the shoreline I spotted a lingering Loon. Also, a half dozen of the usual suspects.
Oh yeah, I harvested six Half-free Morels (Morchella semi-libera). That, plus 14 of the early black morels (M. elata) made for a nice side for scrambled eggs and for a steak dinner. Cheers. Paul Noell Balto. MD
