Subject: [MDBirding] Support the Audubon MD-DC Birdathon
Hi Everyone,

Friday at noon, four Maryland birders will kick off a fun and exhausting event to raise money for Audubon Maryland-DC's Important Bird Area (IBA) program. David Curson, Matt Hafner, Mikey Lutmerding, and I will run an unconventional noon-to-noon, full-state Big Day. The MD-DC IBA program is 100% supported by grants and donations, and this is an important annual fundraiser. The MD-DC IBA program continues to lead efforts that are critical to bird conservation in Maryland/DC, including salt marsh studies, bird blitzes to identify our most critical habitats, and actively fighting sprawl development in areas like Mattawoman Creek IBA, Nanjemoy IBA, and the Nassawango-Pocomoke IBA. Please show your support for these efforts with a pledge or donation. I already e-mailed Dave with my pledge!
(To help with estimating pledges, 200 species is a tantalizing goal, but this weird spring makes that seem quite optimistic!)

Make a pledge by e-mailing Dave Curson (<dcurson...>) or donate now at the link below:

We're also going to post updates from the field to MD Birding (https://www.facebook.com/groups/MDBirding/) over the 24 hours, so stay tuned starting at noon on Friday!

Good birding!

Bill
