Subject: [MDBirding] Re: Phalarope at swan harbor
Today was a great day at Swan Harbor. I finished with 62 species including 8 flagged species in eBird (Redhead - late, American Bittern - late, Great Egret - high count X4, Snowy Egret - rare X3, Glossy Ibis - rare X5, Common Gallinule - late, Semipalmated Sandpiper - early X4, & Red Phalarope - MEGA). I had a total of 10 people stop by to see the phalarope. When I left at about 8:15, the bird was still in the northwest corner (corner closest to the stand of pines which are still pretty distant) of the marshy impoundment (left side of road as you're coming in). Just in case anybody wants to see if this bird sticks around through the night. NEXRAD is currently showing some pretty good movement, so there's a good chance that even if the phalarope isn't present there might still be some excellent birds in that impoundment.

Good luck to all and Excellent Birding,
