Awesome day at Susquehanna. Started very early at Rock Run, where the best birds were BAY BREASTED and BLACKBURNIAN. The picnic area was hopping. I refound, (or possibly the same bird) a MOURNING WARBLER, not too far from the one I had on Sat. Very vocal, and I was able to get a good look. Next was a GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER, in the same vicinity. I alerted Tim Houghton to both of these birds, but I've got to give him credit for directing me to the TENNESEES on Craig's Corner Rd. Another amazing bird was the MISSIPPIPPI KITE that flew over the paking lot. The overall shape, dark underneath and short flared tail were giveaways. Other great birds were a WILLOW FLYCATCHER by the pond, near the playground area, and a WILSON'S WARBLER, along the row of trees by the toll booth. Lots of CANADAS, MAGNOLIAS and CHESTNUT-SIDEDS. Also had a PRAIRIE WARBLER, closer to the chat field. If I could only find that Nashville that hangs around the toll booth! Oh, and my husband had a NIGHTHAWK fly past our house, that I missed because I went to put gas in my car!
