Hi All,

You may remember that last year at about this time I posted that B95, the 20+ year old Red Knot had been sighted in New Jersey. Amazingly, he has been sighted again!! This time at Mispillion Harbor near Slaughter Beach, Delaware. I am going down there this evening and will be there for the Peace, Love & Horseshoe Crabs Festival all day tomorrow, which celebrates shorebirds and horseshoe crabs. Anyone who might be in the area should come check it out!

B95 is the subject of the award winning book by Phil Hoose, as he is the oldest known Red Knot and has flown enough miles in his long life to have gone to the moon and halfway back.

Let's hope B95 has several more migrations to make!

Just saw this on Delaware Shorebird Project FB:

Excellent news today the red knot "Moonbird" orange flag B95 was re-sighted on Back Beach in Mispillion Harbor! Welcome back to the bay and good luck continuing to add on the frequent flyer miles.
