Ann et al., on Monday Lisa Shannon and I saw an adult Black-crowned Night-Heron foraging along Sligo Creek just upstream from where Piney Branch Road crosses it. This is roughly 1 1/2 to 1 2/3 miles downstream of your sighting. We did not expect to see this species along Sligo Creek at all.
