Let me second Gary Griffith's warning about using Bald Friar Road to reach the Susquehanna. An additional issue is that the gravel parking lot at the end of the road is private property - the owner is either ConRail or PECO, I've never been able to figure out which, but it is quite clear that the owner does not want the public (us) parking there. As tempting as Bald Friar Rd. is, I agree with Gary that we need to walk in the long way. Of course, another mode of access is boat or canoe, and there are public launch sites on both sides of the
reservoir.
