re: Maryland's other river

Norm,

Sorry about the lack of direction, the ADC map has street names.  This
area is on DeLorme page 37, B4. Wharf Road is the only road shown that
goes due north from Farmington Road.  It's just west of "Calvert Manor". 

If you are going to head down there, you should also visit the other good
access.  Continue west/south on Farmington Road, then right onto Bryan
Point Road to the middle of B3, where you cross a creek (Just past a 90
degree turn to the left).  You can park along the side of the road and
walk a very nice, but damp trail along the west side of the creek, or take
the next right (easy to miss), drive across the field and park in the dry
lot near the river.  You can walk east to the mouth of Piscataway Creek
(both ends are always better than the area in between), but be sure to
take the short side trip to the end of the boardwalk east of the creek.
The Red-Headed Woodpeckers have been quite vocal and easy to spot
recently.
