Hi Jane,

Can you tell me where Greenwell State Park is?

Thanks

might be a loggerhead shrike at Greenwell State Park, but did not have
binoculars handy at the time. Too small to be a mockingbird, and has a
distinctive call note. Both times it was on the east side of Steer Horn
Neck Road, near the old farm house (the one by the model airplane field).
Back in the early 1970s the Point Lookout Christmas Bird Count regularly
reported a few loggerhead shrikes from St. Mary's County, but the species
dropped out of the counts by the 1980s. Could it be making a comeback?
