To reach the = location, take the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) to exit 29, Cromwell Bridge = Rd. and go northeast from there approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto = Loch Raven Rd. and proceed about 1 1/2 mile +/- to the first bridge = crossing. The bird was reported to be in this area but I don't know if = it was north or south of the bridge. The larger expanse of lake is to = the north and is probably the more likely area. If the bird cannot be = found here, you can reach another bridge about 1 mile northwest, or 3 = miles driving distance, of this location by continuing around the lake = on Loch Raven Rd. to Dulaney Valley Road. Go left at the intersection = (the Pierce's Plantation Rest. is on the corner here) and follow the = road to the Dulaney Valley Rd. bridge. Park at the parking area just = prior to the bridge. From here you can look back towards the first = bridge or look north for the bird at a section of the lake not visible = from the other site. This road is much busier and caution should be used = when trying to cross the road and look northward if the bird cannot be = found in the main part of the lake. More information will be posted as = it becomes available.
