Possible Western Gull

Sean McCandless has just returned from the Cecil County Landfill to report a possible Western Gull (1:15 PM).  Sean readilly admits that he's not 100% convinced, but feels it's worth others having a look.

The bird initially struck him as a winter adult LBBG, but the head was rounder, bill appeared heavier, and the legs were much brighter pink, almost red.  His telephone is 410-392-3407.

The landfill closes at 3:00 today, and unfortunately gull activity will be minimal tomorrow if they're not pushing trash around. Sean noted that the bird spent the majority of the time around the heavy equipment pushing the trash around.
