Asto Gregory Miller's 17Jan I was tweeked? into responding because I too
was along the Texas Gulf Coast in November not December and carried what
seemed like a ton of gear in the application of orinthology and
photography Mother Nature took care of a part of the problem by opening
her heavens for twelve straight days, depositing twenty inches of rain
on a land which is normally short-changed to 29 inches a year.Therefore
with no sun,no contrast and no pictures. I wouldsuggest that if you
must combine photography with birding, you look into an OutBack tm. and
become a beast of burden with scope, binoculars and camera equipment. In
your equipment evaluationyou might check Canon"s new Optura which
combines 35mm still with camcorder capabilities. Priced at a fairly firm
$2300, and probably not obsolete till next year. Isn"t it fun to deal
in the high tech market? Would enjoy hearing about your trip.
