Don't remember exactly the outcome, though I do remember there were LOTS of figures bandied about as to how much birders contribute to the economy through their various activities. I guess the infrastructure needed to implement such an arrangement would be somewhat daunting, but if such a set-up was to eventuate, I would support it.
