To All:
I sent a message recommending a call to Britt Slatterly, Fish &
Wildlife Biologist, to get information on plants for this region
that attract hummingbirds but are not eaten by deer. The number
given was (410) 2242732. I called that number in an attempt to talk
with Britt, and perhaps get an e-mail number. It has been changed
and now is (410) 573-4500. Further, the answering machine asks that
callers get an individuals number by punching in their last name on
the telephone. A couple of trys at that didn't seem to work either,
so I left a request on an answering machine at the personnel office
for a call-back with her number. Sound familiar? When I get
telephone and/or e-mail information, I will pass it on. By the way,
1/4 inch soap slices tied to strings and fastened to stakes kept
away deer that had been eating my green beans for a season. Then I
built a 5 foot fence which worked even better.
