     The point of the message was that it is not up to one individual to 
     make a decision for everyone else; but, rather up to the Records 
     Committee to make a decision regarding the record for the state. Each 
     person has the right to make their own decision but in doing so should 
     not be casting aspersions on the integrity of others or the Records 
     Committee.

Thanks to you and Harvey for that clarification. I guess I didn't miss the 
point about the connection between birders discussing the ID of a bird and the 
opinion of the MD/DC Records Committee, since there is none.
