The Prince George's Audubon Society field trip to collect fossils along Calvert Cliffs got good looks at three Gannets (Northern) close to shore near the Matoaka Beach Cabins. Quite a few Bufflehead were also just offshore. Several crows chased a Great Horned Owl across the road when we arrived. No Miocene avifauna observed. Tom Beal Glenn Dale, MD
