MDO:

I just returned from a late afternoon trip to
Point Lookout State Park in southern St. Mary's
County, MD. At the point, I had very close looks
at a NORTHERN GANNET and had 3 more on the
Potomac side of the point. I saw one more from
Cornfield Harbor but can't be certain that it
wasn't one that I had seen before.

As dusk settled in, around 6:45, I stood on the
roadside across from the abandoned "Sister's Place"
store just south of the monument. I had one
AMERICAN WOODCOCK do a nice aerial display before
he disappeared into the pines.

I also had a PIED-BILLED GREBE at the end of
Long Neck Road.

Not much else of note.

Good Birding!
