First I want to thank Norm, Gail, Darius, Jack and Paul for the specific info you supplied in response to my question. Now for the follow on-- We have made the flight arrangements-we arrive in Tucson on 16 May and leave on the 30 May. How do I find out about scheduled bird walks? Are there other ways of getting with local birders? About the weather-I can follow the Tucson forecasts, but are there mountain or other areas we will travel to where the conditions are much different? If not camping, is there a preference of where to base yourself or is the best thing to do to stay at the nearest town where you finish the day? By reading the AAA Tour Guide, I am led to believe there are not many motels in the outlying areas. Where can I get bird checklists for the area locations on the Internet? Is there a listserv where I can post these kind of questions? Do the local libraries have internet access so one can follow the RBAs while in the area? (I have difficulty transcribing the info while trying to listen.)
