I stopped by E. Potomac Park today and cruised and walked around from about 1:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sounds like I missed the loon by an hour or so. I did see the two common loons--two birds near the war college, one in breeding plumage, one in nonbreeding plumage. Perhaps the PL toodled over to the airport for a bit for some kippered snacks.
