Actually, Leslie, I've been a pretty lazy chaser lately.

I hadn't decided what to do today until this morning. Originally, I
wasn't going to chase the loon at all, because I've seen them in
California, and this one was not in MD. But, thinking about the breeding
plumage, and not having any other plans, I decided to have a leisurely
morning looking for it.  How could I have known the traffic would be so
bad AND my car would die. (I hope someone has stolen it, please,
please.)

I've enjoyed your reports. Sounds like you had a great day. Turkeys
(even if you missed yours) seem to be bustin' out all over. Pete Webb
and I had a displaying pair again last weekend in Frederick Co on
Michael Rd (below Monument Knob), and I saw some earlier in Allegany,
Anne Arundel, Carroll, and Wicomico Co's since mid-April, which is more
than all my previous sightings for years.
