Still present on Sunday 7 June. It was in the Potomac between National Airport
and Hains Pt. It could barely be seen from the east side of Hains Pt, as it
was usually very close to the Virginia shore. We got much better looks by
parking at the lot and boat ramp just north of the airport, where people park
to watch the jets take off.  This lot is accesible only from the northbound
lanes of the GW Parkway. If heading south, exit at the airport, stay in the
right lane, go under the bridge, and take an immediate right (sign says
Washington) to get back onto the parkway north bound. Keep right again for the
first exit into the lot.

The loon was last seen at 12:00, working its way along the shore and almost at
the 14th St bridge. It might well be up in the stretch of river between the
14th St bridge and the Memorial Bridge, or even farther north, near Roosevelt
Island.
