While in Baltimore for a Training Session on Friday I couldn't help admire 3
Peregrine Falcons seen resting atop the First National Bank Building.
I assume this is a breeding female with young. Only one of the three
birds did any extensive flying. I first found them at 8:00 AM. They were
in the same place at lunch time, and again at 4:30 PM.

An excellent place to observe them is from the raised sidewalk next to Pratt Street where it crosses Light Street. The First National Bank building is the building behind the Legg Mason Building (the old USF&G Building). If you don't see the birds there, walk west to where the raised sidewalk crosses Charles Street and look for them on the west side of the First National Bank Building.

Of course, while you're there be sure to visit the Inner Harbor's Food Court and Shopping Facilities. The Maryland Crab Cakes are great as was the Italian Ice I had for desert. You could also stop in at the Maryland Science Center and the National Aquarium.

Oh, in spite of all this Falcon Watching, I really did learn something for my job.

Goob Birding (and eating),
