Thank you for the congrats, Greg. <Fran comes out of the woodwork to say a few words to our local hero and offer continued good wishes and good luck! We are of course, rooting for you all the way!! Go for it ALL, Greg!> <shy, shy> There are several little personal goals waiting to be broken this year, but we will give them to you as they happen! I am very pleased about the early 400 since, as you all know, I missed it last year by only a few species. This is Norm's second consecutive 400 <Yea for Norm!>. Now, for the important stuff....the species you need. Here goes: Black-footed Albatross--the Wesport pelagic.....However, we did not see this one until we got about 45 miles out. Be prepared for a rough ride. <Be brave, Greg, you can DO IT.> Black Swift, Vaux's Swift, Pacific-slope Flycatcher: Leavenworth/Wenatchee Lake, Entiat River Valley, Manning Park. All but the last in WA. Cassin's Vireo: Hmmmm. Saw this species actually once. In the Oliver area of BC at the Vaseux Lake Provincial Park (to the best of my knowledge). Crested Myna: I have a proven nest site.....The birds are near guaranteed. We saw them within one minute of arrival, and there were several. I will e-mail separately all the explicit directions. We are assuming you have the Eurasian Skylark, since it is not listed, but if not let us know. We have also GREAT connections on this one. Lest I bore you all...more to Greg in a separate, private message. However, if you ARE interested in any aspect of this trip, do let us know. I hope to have a more complete trip report ready in the coming weeks. The scenery east of the Cascades, Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic NP west of the Cascades and in all areas of BC was spectacular! It was a wonderful trip all around and far exceeded our expectations. Fran > > Oh. Norm & Fran, were you wondering what birds you had that I still > need?
