Shorebirds in Carroll Co.

Liberty Lake has dropped about two feet this summer and mudflats 
are forming at the north end of the lake (north of Rt.140).  Yesterday I 
was without a 'scope but could make out about 10 Killdeer, a Solitary 
Sandpiper, peeps including Least and Western, and a Great Egret.  Access 
is from the railroad that crosses the upper edge of the lake.
	Hot much, but it's a start.  As the lake continues to recede more 
flats will be created.
