The rail at the Smithsonian E. Haupt Gardens was still present the evening of 8/3. We arrived about 6pm. Around 6:45pm we saw it walk out from a large shrub just left of the "waterfall fountain" (as oppossed to the "geyser fountain") that is north of the NMAA. It came down to one of the smaller, oval fountains to bathe and drink. The people walking the gardens had thinned considerably by then. There was no one in the fountain area when it first appeared.
