Hello all, With all the many people having such great luck with this absurd lost Virginia Rail in D.C., I am wondering, has anyone taken any photos? Each season I scramble to put together some interesting photos for the next ABA Field Notes column. This past spring I got good photos of White-winged Crossbill, Pacific Loon (more are welcome of this bird), and Black-tailed Gull. I expect all to be published in the fall issue. The summer season is usually the toughest to get photos for, and the rail is quite a DC raritty - I only know of a couple previous records (Dave Czaplak, are you out there?). So...if you want a good opportunity to get one of your photos published, I'd love to include a bewildered Virginia Rail with the summer season!! Please send a copy if you don't mind, to: Jim Stasz ABA Field Notes Secretary P.O. Box 71 North Beach, MD 20714 Other photos are welcome of course as well...
